The scene
A weekend market in a park square. Eight gazebos stand in two rows facing each other, with the walking aisle between them. At the edge are three market huts and a food truck, and a seating area for whatever you buy to eat. The generator sits in a corner with power run behind the gazebos to every stall. The portable toilets are at the edge of the site.
When it helps
- The organiser has to submit a stall layout with the site application.
- You need to tell stallholders where they are and where their power comes from.
- You are estimating gazebos, tables and chairs, and the length of cable.
What’s already laid out
- Eight 3 × 3 m gazebos in two facing rows with the aisle between.
- Three market huts and one food truck.
- Tables and chairs, bins, flags and portable toilets.
- A 25 kVA generator feeding a distribution board.
- Four power runs: generator to board, the north row, the south row and the huts in the south-east corner.
- Plus 24 figures for scale and circulation. If you don’t need them, delete them all in one go.
Making it yours
- Press “Start from this one”. The template opens in the editor as your own drawing; whatever you change, the original template stays as it was.
- For a different stall count, copy or delete a whole gazebo; measure the aisle with a dimension line.
- Gazebo size and whether it has a back wall are adjustable.
- Drag the cable routes and the lengths recalculate, ready for the cable order.
- For anything missing, press Components at the bottom: search by name and click to place it. Select what you don’t need and press Delete.
- When the layout is right, press Download at the top right to save it as an image, then drop it into a deck or send it as it is.
What to settle first
- Read the site first: where the trees are and where people come in.
- Then the stall structures. Two facing rows, with room behind for cables and restocking.
- Tables, seating and toilets follow.
- Temporary power last: out from the generator and along the back of the gazebos, a length on every run.
What you end up with
- A layout drawing
- Download it as a PNG or JPG, at a resolution that holds up in a deck or a proposal.
- An object list
- The name and quantity of everything on the drawing. Change the drawing and the list changes with it.
- A length for every cable
- Power and signal runs have a length as soon as they are drawn. Order from those numbers.
- A link to send
- Once you sign in, the drawing can become a link that opens in any browser.
