The scene
An esports final in a performance hall. Two teams of five sit at either side of the stage, facing the audience, with the trophy stand between them; behind them a 9 m LED wall shows the match. The 80 seats are in two blocks with an aisle down the middle. The production desk is at the very back, with the whole stage in view.
When it helps
- The organiser needs to confirm with the venue that the stage and seating fit.
- The director and the sound and lighting teams need one drawing to work from.
- You are estimating player desks, seats and LED panels.
What’s already laid out
- A 16 m stage — 6 m per team, 3 m in the middle and 0.5 m at each end — set 0.6 m off the back wall.
- A 9 × 3.5 m LED wall, framed by a truss goalpost.
- Player desks for five per team, facing the audience, with the trophy stand between the teams.
- Line array speakers on the floor at either side of the stage.
- Theatre seating in two blocks, 80 seats in all, with a centre aisle; the production desk at the back.
- Three cable runs: fibre from the production desk to the stage, and the left and right main speakers.
- Plus 20 figures for scale and circulation. If you don’t need them, delete them all in one go.
Making it yours
- Press “Start from this one”. The template opens in the editor as your own drawing; whatever you change, the original template stays as it was.
- For a different team size, the player desks are adjustable and the stage width changes with them.
- Change the LED wall’s width and height directly and the panel count recalculates.
- Rows and seats per row are adjustable.
- For anything missing, press Components at the bottom: search by name and click to place it. Select what you don’t need and press Delete.
- When the layout is right, press Download at the top right to save it as an image, then drop it into a deck or send it as it is.
What to settle first
- Lay the stage and put up the LED wall first. The stage width comes from the two teams’ desks.
- Put the player desks on stage, leaving room between the teams for the host and the trophy.
- Hang sound and lighting on the truss and place the speakers at the sides.
- Seating and the production desk last; the director needs to see the whole stage.
What you end up with
- A layout drawing
- Download it as a PNG or JPG, at a resolution that holds up in a deck or a proposal.
- An object list
- The name and quantity of everything on the drawing. Change the drawing and the list changes with it.
- A length for every cable
- Power and signal runs have a length as soon as they are drawn. Order from those numbers.
- A link to send
- Once you sign in, the drawing can become a link that opens in any browser.
