Trace a space from a floor plan

  • Outline — “Edit rooms” has a third way to create a room: click along the walls corner by corner, and clicking the first point again makes the room. Every wall stays horizontal or vertical.
  • Type a wall’s length — while tracing, type a number and press an arrow key to draw a wall of that length in that direction. You can enter a room wall by wall from your measurements without touching the mouse.
  • Import a floor plan as an underlay — bring a plan image (PNG or JPG) into “Edit rooms”, then adjust its opacity, move it or hide it for a moment.
  • Set the scale — click the two ends of a length you know on the underlay and type the real length; the image scales to the right size.
  • The underlay is only for tracing — it never appears in the drawing or in exported files. It is saved with the project, so it is still there next time.
  • An underlay counts towards your image library; convert a PDF floor plan to an image first.

Venue templates

  • Venue templates — real spaces drawn from the venue’s own floor plans, ready to lay out in. The first venue is Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in Taipei, with 14 spaces: five warehouses, two tobacco factory halls, the Multi-purpose Hall, the Creative Space and more.
  • Venue pages — one page per venue, listing each space’s size, clear height and the date of the floor plan, along with what is drawn and where the drawing differs from the plan (misea.app/venues, in Chinese for now).
  • The venue’s fixed equipment is already drawn — columns, plant rooms, raised walkways, projection screens and power boxes sit where the floor plan puts them.
  • No sign-up needed — venue templates are all free, and once opened the drawing is yours.
  • The templates overview has a new “Venues” section that leads to each venue.
  • These drawings are redrawn from the floor plans a venue gives to hirers; they are not issued by the venue. Before load-in, check the venue’s latest floor plan and the site itself.
  • Custom spaces that are not aligned to the grid no longer show extra seam lines on the floor.

Size labels on objects

  • Objects can show their own size — select an object and use “Show size” in the right panel to turn width, depth and height on separately; the dimension lines sit just outside the object.
  • Labels follow the object — rotate it, change its parameters or lift it off the ground, and the lines and numbers update with it.
  • Stacked objects are labelled along the top — for an object placed on a table or cabinet, width and depth are marked on its top edge.
  • Several objects at once — select more than one and the same switches apply to all of them.
  • Available for adjustable objects and for assets that carry real dimensions; text size, offset and label backing follow the dimension settings in the Space tab.

Templates

  • Start from a template — 25 finished layout drawings you can open and edit, across nine kinds of space: exhibitions, events, interactive, stage, office, home, retail, outdoor and dining.
  • A new “New project” window — blank starting points and templates sit in one window, and templates can be filtered by kind of space.
  • Templates work without signing in — the project menu has “Templates” and an empty canvas shows “Start from a template”; when you are signed in, a template opens as a new project.
  • Sample scenes on the home page open directly — the enlarged view now has “Start from this one”.
  • Template pages — each template has its own page on when it fits and how to adapt it (misea.app/en/templates).
  • Importing a backup no longer asks before replacing the canvas when it still holds the untouched sample scene.

Sign in with Google

  • Sign in with Google — the sign-in window now has “Continue with Google”: pick an account and you are in, with no email to wait for.
  • Same email, same account — if you signed in by email before and switch to Google, your projects and plan are all still there; you can use either method at any time.
  • Sign-in now runs on Misea’s own domain — Google’s sign-in page and the links in sign-in emails both use auth.misea.app.
  • Google sign-in is not available in the in-app browsers of Threads, Instagram and LINE — open the page in Safari or Chrome, or sign in with email.

A reworked component window, and a smoother canvas

  • The left column fits on one screen — one row per category, with an item count that follows the scenario and filter you have on; no more scrolling.
  • Scenarios and filters are multi-select — pick several scenarios to see all of them together, each with a tick; the three size buttons at the top right became one multi-select Filter menu.
  • Search moved to the top of the window; shortcut hints sit along the bottom, with the full list behind “?”; ↑↓ moves by position on screen, so crossing a section no longer lands on the wrong card.
  • 41 instruments and broadcast items — pianos, guitars, synths, DJ gear, audio interfaces, vision mixers, camera tripods, plus an iPhone 17 and a Pixel 10 — all four facings at one scale, each with its footprint marked.
  • Search knows more names — bean bag, ultrawide, kiosk, digital signage and brand names like Logitech all find something; people can be found by pose (wheelchair, selfie, proposal, guide dog).
  • Panning and zooming stay smooth on large scenes — a drawing with thousands of items pans without stutter; during a zoom gesture the canvas draws a fast preview and sharpens when you stop.
  • While zooming, the handles and sheet labels around the drawing keep their size, and zooming from the smallest to the largest no longer blurs all the way up.

A new object taxonomy, and 350+ people

  • Seventeen categories — new ones for Kitchen & Bath, Plants & Landscape and Sport & Play; Plants & Decor became Decor & Props, and Furniture went from over two hundred cards to just over a hundred.
  • Sections reorganised — misnamed ones renamed, crowded ones split, so finding a thing takes far fewer pages.
  • Two more scenarios: Events and Interactive — all nine now fit on one line.
  • Over 350 people — 281 new silhouettes, grouped into 35 sections by pose, group size, activity and role.
  • People ignore the scenario filter — every scenario needs people, so the People category stays whichever scenarios you pick.
  • Every person has a real height — someone sitting on the floor, a child and an adult each land at the right height.
  • Mirror-only items flip with Q / E / R — silhouettes, symbols and flat artwork no longer need the button in the right-hand panel.
  • 93 old assets without dimensions were retired from the component window; drawings that already use them look exactly the same.

Entertainment, sport and retail

  • Arcade — basketball machine, air hockey, dance machine, taiko drums, boxing machine, pinball.
  • Games tables — pool, snooker, table tennis, mahjong, poker, shuffleboard, darts, chess; a gaming setup.
  • Gym equipment — treadmill, spin bike, elliptical, rower, squat rack, cable machine, leg press, dumbbell rack, punch bag.
  • Play areas — swings, slide, seesaw, monkey bars, a combination play set, trampoline, sandpit, climbing net and indoor soft play; a soccer goal.
  • Swimming pools — rectangular, freeform or L-shaped, with entry steps, a timber deck and sun loungers.
  • Retail — dress form, hanging sign, self-service kiosk, display case, warehouse racking, forklift, hotel cart.
  • Food and home — five bars and counters (coffee, cocktail, bubble tea, sushi, ice cream), a commercial kitchen, a grill and hot pot table, wine storage; a chest of drawers, a sideboard, a dressing table, floor and table lamps, nursery furniture, pet furniture.
  • Seasonal and outdoor — a Christmas tree and festive display, an outdoor kitchen, camping gear, solar panels, a revolving door; the greenhouse is a container — drag something in and it sits inside, drawn behind the glass.

0.11.4

2026-09-28

Dining and events

  • Booth seating and buffet stations.
  • Theatre seating — rows of seats on a grandstand.
  • Event seating layouts — theatre, classroom, banquet and crescent, with an offset option.
  • Security — walk-through metal detectors and X-ray machines.
  • Stage — effects machines, a winners' podium, studio lighting.
  • Indoors — staircase, curtains, pendant lights, washing machine, bunk bed; shopping carts, retail carts, a photo booth, an aquarium.
  • Outdoors — gazebo, pool and fountain, drinking fountain, basketball hoop, EV charger.
  • More accurate depth — every part of an adjustable object is re-sorted front to back, and no parts cut through each other from any of the eight angles.

0.11.3

2026-09-27

Home, office and street

  • Home — beds, sofas, wardrobes, kitchens, dining sets; bathrooms, cabinets, coffee tables, rugs.
  • Office — desk clusters in six layouts, meeting tables, phone booths, lockers.
  • Vending and chilled — seven vending machines (drinks, ice cream, ticket machine, capsule toys, claw machine and more) and refrigerated displays.
  • Street and public space — street lights, portable toilets, picnic tables, bins, bike racks, bus shelters, tree grates.
  • Shade sails and stage roofs — the stage roof's truss is drawn the same way as assembly truss.
  • Exhibitions and stage — brochure stands, wayfinding signs, security gates, keyboards, mic and music stands.

0.11.2

2026-09-26

Outdoors, landscape and screens

  • Planters — five plantings (flowers, shrubs, ornamental grass, clipped hedge, topiary balls) with adjustable density and irregularity; square or round.
  • Trees and shrubs — five tree shapes and five shrubs, drawn the same way as the planters.
  • Outdoor furniture — benches, parasols (square and round), pergolas.
  • Choral risers — tiered, trapezoid-shaped.
  • Things with screens — phones, tablets, laptops, monitors and TVs that turn, stand upright and sit on tables; an upright digital signage display.
  • Elevators — standard or glass, three load sizes, several side by side, doors open as far as you like.
  • Fixed: every spherical part in the isometric drawing was about a fifth too small; it is now the right size.

0.11.1

2026-09-25

Circulation and site gear

  • Circulation — accessible ramps, entrance arches, entry gates; escalators take a floor height and work out their own length.
  • Booths and huts — ticket booths, timber huts, sale wagons, flags; canopies gain a peaked roof.
  • Displays and projection — A-frame signs, wooden displays; three more projection screens (fixed frame, motorised, rear projection).
  • Crew gear — stacking chairs, trolleys, ballast, lifts and A-frame ladders; road cases gain a 19-inch rack.
  • Power — temporary distribution boxes, silent generators, cable reels.
  • Rigging and mounts — chain hoists; display stands (floor stand, desk arm, wall mount); whiteboards (mobile, easel, wall-mounted).
  • Hanging things use height off the ground — motorised screens, wall mounts, wall whiteboards and chain hoists land at the height they belong, and ⇧-drag adjusts it as usual.

Adjustable objects move into the component window

Adjustable objects left the Build window and now share the asset categories — look under Furniture → Tables and the folding table and banquet table sit next to the drawn tables.

  • One card per look — variants that look very different get their own card and thumbnail; once placed, you can still switch variant in the right-hand panel, and the name follows.
  • Size filter — adjustable, with dimensions, without dimensions; combines with scenarios.
  • Three new scenarios — Retail & Pop-up, Outdoor & Landscape, Food & Drink.
  • Stage and events — lighting T-bars, projection screens, banner stands, lecterns, bar counters, drum kits, amps, FOH positions, vehicles.
  • Sound — PA speakers, stage monitors, column speakers, subwoofers; a flown line array lands in the air, with its height set by height off the ground.
  • Fixed: picking any scenario in the component window turned the content into a blank page.

0.10.3

2026-09-23

Retail and banquets

  • Counters — reception or checkout, straight or L-shaped, three front panels.
  • Banquet tables with chairs — a ring of chairs facing the centre; tablecloths to the floor, part-way or none; chair covers optional.
  • Fitting rooms — a row of cubicles open at the top, with curtains, half-open curtains or doors, mirrors and stools.
  • Garment rails — single, four-way or round, hung with a row of clothes that can bunch to one end.
  • Display tables — nesting tables or a solid plinth; six kinds of stock (folded clothes, books, boxes, shoes, bags, laptops), with fill and density adjustable.
  • All four facings of an asset share one scale — turning an asset no longer makes it jump in size; drawings you already have do not move by a pixel.
  • Updated assets: kiosks, laptops, monitors, webcams, desktop PCs, keyboards and mice.

0.10.2

2026-09-22

Folding tables and display plinths

  • Folding tables — the long tables used for meetings and training; join them side by side or end to end; three tablecloths (draped, pleated, stretch) with adjustable drop; common sizes one pick away.
  • Display plinths — square or round, three bases; things can sit on top.
  • Display cases — a plinth with a glass hood (all glass, metal frame, lightbox top); whatever you put inside is drawn behind the glass and stays clickable.
  • Round plinths are drawn as circles in the top view.

0.10.1

2026-09-21

Easier stacking, cleaner corners

  • Stacking is easier — drag onto something tall like a road case and it counts as soon as it looks stacked; it no longer drops off at the slightest move.
  • Stage steps can carry things.
  • Items against the back wall are no longer hidden by it — most noticeable in the corners of a room.
  • Assemblies and adjustable objects become symbols in the top view — truss as a chain of rectangles, adjustable objects as a footprint rectangle with a name.
  • Tile straight onto a wall — while painting cells, the mode bar switches between Floor, Left wall and Right wall.
  • Fixed: in English, the carpet layout buttons spilled out of the panel.

0.10.0

2026-09-20

A new site

  • The whole site looks different — the home page, pricing, FAQ, terms and these release notes now share one drafting-sheet language, in both languages.
  • The clips on the home page were re-recorded — room editing, adjustable objects and tiled surfaces arrived after the old ones were shot; you can see them now.
  • Pricing — the comparison table sets out the difference between Free and Pro line by line, and the FAQ has been filled out.
  • The share page — same new look; when a link is wrong or has been deleted, it now says which.
  • On the English home page, the item names and the schedule inside the drawing are in English too.

0.9.2

2026-09-19

Shelving, and text that rotates

  • Shelving — gondola, rivet and wire shelving for pop-up shops and merch stands; bays, levels and spacing adjustable, and any single shelf can be taken out.
  • Stock on the shelves — goods, cartons, books or baskets, with fill, size and per-level and per-bay variation adjustable; “Shuffle” lays it out again.
  • Text rotates — zone names on the floor can run in any direction; new text is centred by default.
  • Fixed: things standing on carpet were covered by the carpet.
  • Fixed: once something was placed on something else, its depth order went wrong.
  • Fixed: walls scrambled the depth order of things hanging inside a room.

0.9.1

2026-09-17

Room editor gestures

  • The same gestures as the canvas — drag empty space to pan, ⇧-click to add to the selection, right-drag to box-select, ⌘A to select all.
  • Edit several rooms at once — drag them together (their contents follow), ⌥-drag to duplicate, nudge with the arrow keys; ⌘D, delete and the wall controls apply to every selected room.
  • Rooms and columns are tools — the Room and Column buttons at the bottom centre put themselves away after one and select what you made.
  • ⇧-dragging height pauses at the top of a wall, and the readout says where you are relative to it.
  • New assets: air conditioners, track lights, wall sockets.

0.9.0

2026-09-14

Rooms and the top view

  • Room editor, rebuilt — drag a rectangle on empty space to make a room; drag a handle to resize it, and a neighbouring room in the way gets pushed aside; ⌘D duplicates a whole room.
  • Walls — click a wall to remove or restore that run; drag along it to change only the stretch you cover (that is how doorways are made); double-click for the whole side.
  • Irregular spaces — ⇧-click another room to add it to the selection and merge the two; hold ⌥ and drag inside a room to place a column.
  • Items move with their room — whatever sits inside a room goes with it when you move the room; when deleting a room you can keep its items where they are.
  • Top view — switch to the top view at the top left to check where everything sits; items with dimensions are drawn as footprint rectangles, people as a dot with a facing.
  • One scene, two drawings — isometric for the proposal, top view for the load-in plan, each with its own paper and title block; choose which one when downloading.
  • By-room schedule — with two or more rooms, the schedule gains a By Room sheet, and the item list can be grouped by room.
  • Fixed: renaming with a Chinese input method typed the word twice when Enter confirmed a character.

0.8.2

2026-09-10

Ringlock scaffolding and wires

  • Ringlock scaffolding — an adjustable object: set the bays, levels, stairs and a grandstand, with bay widths from the catalogue.
  • Keep drawing a wire — continue from either end, or pull a new bend point out of the middle of a segment.
  • Basic shapes take width, depth and height in metres.
  • Tiled surfaces and adjustable objects can be pinned to the front too.
  • Fixed: after copying an image in another app, ⌘C / ⌘V in Misea pasted that image instead.
  • Fixed: truss went diagonal when dragged below the floor or when a post top was dragged sideways.
  • Fixed: “+ New project” briefly opened the previous project first.
  • Fixed: the version-naming row showed two Save buttons.

0.8.1

2026-09-07

Scale changes that hold

  • After a scale change, line weights, markers and height labels keep their size.
  • Height labels follow the annotation text size.
  • Annotation leaders can sit further out, and the backing behind their text can be faded.

0.8.0

2026-09-03

Bring your own images

  • Import your own photos — drop one on the canvas and it becomes a standee at a real size: dropped on a wall it mounts flat, dropped on the floor it stands up; the only question asked is how tall it is.
  • Crop — double-click a photo and frame the part to keep; what stays keeps its place and size on the canvas.
  • Photos can switch to warm grey to match the drawing; they stay in colour by default.
  • ⌘V pastes an image straight from the clipboard.
  • Image library — images you have uploaded follow your account, so they are there on another computer too; you can see which projects are using one.
  • The quota counts images — 100 on Free, 2,000 on Pro.
  • Upload SVG — kept in the same library, ready to place again any time.
  • Sketch pad — draw a quick diagram (pen, line, rectangle, ellipse, text) and place it like a photo.

0.7.1

2026-09-01

Adjustable objects

  • Adjustable objects — road cases, pop-up canopies, pallet stacks, stage steps and shipping containers grow out of a handful of parameters, and can be laid out in a row in one go.
  • Adjustable objects turn with Q / E / R and the rotation handle, around the centre of their footprint.
  • A tiled surface is ground — things standing on it are no longer hidden behind it.
  • When this computer and the cloud disagree, just pick one — the two versions side by side, each viewable full size, with the option to keep both.
  • These release notes went live, in Chinese and English.

0.7.0

2026-08-31

Tiled surfaces, mode bar, annotation tools

  • Surface arrays — LED walls, carpet, stage decks: paint the cells and the panel count falls out; LED shows its pixel pitch, carpet has laying patterns, and raised decks show the structure underneath.
  • More assembly types — the type picker became a dialog, with rope barriers, control-desk barriers and low barriers added; post height, belt length and panel size are adjustable per piece; a rope barrier sags when the posts come closer and straightens as they part.
  • Dimension lines are drawn point to point — hold ⇧ to lift an end into the air and measure the straight-line distance between two points at different heights.
  • Dimension line colour actually applies, and the backing behind the number can be faded or removed entirely.
  • Annotation leaders move as a whole — drag the middle of the line and both ends go with it.
  • A leader's attachment point stays put — changing the height of another bend in the wire no longer drags the label along.
  • The mode bar was rebuilt — which tool you are in and how to leave it are both on screen, with a clickable exit; on touch devices every key hint is a button.
  • The X / Y of annotations, text and dimension lines are in metres too.

0.6.7

2026-08-30

Browse assets by scenario

  • Scenarios — the component window gains four: Exhibitions, Stage, Office and Home; pick one and the categories and sections keep only what that kind of job uses.
  • The symbols tab split in three — symbols, shapes and built-in items; the person silhouette and sensor icons were redrawn.
  • Search knows everyday names — nicknames, English names and common misspellings: banquet chair, moving head, ergonomic chair and traffic cone all find something.
  • Every asset has four facings, labelled in degrees (0° / 90° / 180° / 270°); symmetrical things like round and long tables turn as well.
  • The height-off-ground marker is drawn on the item's own footprint.

0.6.6

2026-08-29

3D shapes, project swatches, free panning

  • 3D shapes — box, cylinder, prism, pyramid, cone.
  • Fill and stroke are separate — each with its own colour, stroke grey by default; opacity has its own control.
  • Project swatches — the “+” at the end of the swatch row keeps the colour you picked in this project; right-click to remove it.
  • The base plan can change colour, not just fade.
  • Free panning — there is room around the sheet, so something in a corner can be brought to the middle of the screen.
  • The scroll wheel follows design-tool convention — wheel or two fingers pan; ⌘/Ctrl + wheel (or a trackpad pinch) zooms.
  • Outline — the selected row scrolls itself into view; right-click opens the same menu as the canvas; the easy-to-hit delete button on each row is gone.
  • The logo at the top left goes back to My projects.

0.6.5

2026-08-27

Sites in metres

  • Site width and depth are entered in metres, not grid cells; the scale only decides how fine the grid is.
  • What you type is what you get — site edges no longer snap to whole cells.
  • Height annotations sit outside the space, clear of the items.
  • The Stats section in the left column was renamed Equipment list.

0.6.4

2026-08-19

Wires that climb

  • Wires can stay in the air — when the last point is high up, the next one keeps the same height; Tab drops back to the floor.
  • Every point says where it landed — floor, which wall, how high, which layer, all written on screen.
  • Heights snap — to the wire's current height and to the previous point's height.
  • The hint bar was rebuilt — a status chip plus a row of key-and-action pairs, instead of one long sentence.

0.6.3

2026-08-15

Onboarding and a new feedback form

  • Basics — eight short clips, one rule of how the tool works per page; shown the first time you open the editor, and available again from Help.
  • The feedback form was rebuilt — pick a category, attach a screenshot, and send the current project along with it.
  • Fixed: items with real dimensions were drawn slightly too small in the isometric view.

0.6.2

2026-08-13

Billing runs itself

  • Access opens the moment payment clears — cancelling takes effect immediately, with no waiting on a human.
  • Cancel your subscription yourself — in the subscription dialog, which also shows which plan you bought.
  • Bilingual emails — the sign-in email carries both languages; checkout follows the interface language; a confirmation email goes out when access opens.
  • “Find Luxmin” is open again — when you need on-site hardware help, you can reach us from inside the editor.
  • Whole-number prices no longer carry decimals (NT$4,680.00 → NT$4,680).

0.6.1

2026-08-10

An English home page; dimension lines get height

  • An English home page — misea.app/en.
  • The feature demo on the home page is interactive, with a drawing-to-site comparison added.
  • Prices are shown in your local currency.
  • One language preference across the whole site — change it in the editor and the home page and document pages follow.
  • Each end of a dimension line has its own height.
  • “My projects” is searchable.
  • Help text in the right-hand panel was trimmed, and Transform was reordered: what it looks like first, which layer it sits on second.
  • Security — imported project files are sanitised before they open; sign-in has a bot check.

0.6.0

2026-08-09

Assemblies, and height

  • Assemblies — truss, uprights and anything else cut to catalogue lengths: draw a path and it works out how many pieces, and which.
  • Height off the ground — objects can be raised, and anything hanging can say how high it is; a dashed drop line to the floor is optional.
  • A plumb lock for wires — hold ⇧ to run a wire straight up or down, even where there is no wall.
  • Symbols have their own parameters — flat symbols take width and height, radial ones take angle and distance, and two-point symbols have ends you can drag separately.
  • Text can lie on the floor or a wall — zone names on the ground, signs on the wall.
  • X / Y are in metres — the coordinates in the right-hand panel are real positions on the site.
  • “My projects” marks which projects are being shared.
  • Fixed: ⇧ sometimes stuck, locking a drag to one axis.

0.5.1

2026-08-07

Component window and mobile

  • Categories in the component window moved into a left-hand column; ⇧↑↓ jumps between sections.
  • View zoom goes up to 1000%, enough to line up small things.
  • The mobile insert menu became a full-width bottom sheet with a three-column icon grid.
  • Bottom sheets can be dragged by their handle, up or down.
  • Fields in the sheet panel line up in height and text size.

0.5.0

2026-08-06

Files you can hand over

This release rebuilt export end to end. What used to leave as a picture now leaves as a document.

  • Vector PDF — sharp at any zoom, and the text is real text: searchable and selectable.
  • Bill of materials as XLSX (Pro) — three worksheets, straight into a spreadsheet; item marks are printed on the drawing too.
  • The export dialog was rebuilt — formats grouped into sections, WebP added, and it remembers what you picked last time; the schedule can be renamed right there.
  • Version history (Pro) — before the cloud copy is overwritten, a version is kept automatically; you can also save one by hand.
  • Title block — your firm or designer name has a field; drawing status can carry several stamps at once, including your own wording.
  • The drawing carries a single Misea mark (with the URL); Pro can switch it off.
  • The drawing can be in a different language from the interface — work in Chinese, hand over in English.
  • Custom canvas sizes are open to everyone.

0.4.1

2026-08-05

Wires up the wall, and new pricing

  • Wires can climb walls — every bend point has its own height: up the wall, along it, down again and round the back where it should be hidden, all in one wire; Tab changes which surface a point lands on.
  • New home page copy and pricing, and a reworked payment flow.
  • The bill of materials lists only what you buy — people, symbols, circulation lines and basic shapes are drawing marks and are left out by default.
  • Locked items let clicks through — the click selects what is behind them; ⌘/Ctrl-click goes one layer down.
  • Hollow items are easier to hit — for see-through assets like barriers, clicking inside the frame selects them.
  • The custom-site grid labels each edge with its direction in the isometric view, and opens centred, so cells can be added on any side.
  • Fixed: with a dialog open, ⌘A, Delete and the arrow keys still acted on the canvas.
  • Fixed: a stray dashed box next to text; person silhouette thumbnails were not silhouettes.

0.4.0

2026-08-03

Projects get their own URLs; the interface gets a second language

  • One URL per project — bookmark it, send it to yourself, and it opens on that project.
  • “My projects” is its own page.
  • Interface languages — 繁體中文 and English, switched at the top right.
  • Different projects can be open in different tabs — only opening the same project twice is blocked.
  • Fixed: reopening a project occasionally reset its site type.

0.3.1

2026-08-02

Things can sit on other things

  • Place on top — a person on a stage, a device on a table; move the thing underneath and what sits on it comes along.
  • Support surfaces — each asset marks the surface that can carry things, so whatever you put there lands at the right spot and height.
  • Depth within a stack follows position, and deep stacks can be dragged apart.
  • Occluders step aside — whatever hides the selected item fades; a newly placed item flashes once to show where it went.
  • The Outline's automatic section sorts by position.
  • Retiring an asset no longer breaks drawings that already use it.
  • My projects — the list no longer flickers on delete; the bin is its own tab and can be emptied in one go.
  • Fixed: after signing in, opening an existing project created a duplicate.

0.3.0

2026-07-31

Assets get fixed identities; canvas handles follow convention

  • Asset identities are fixed — renaming, recategorising or resizing an asset never touches a drawing you have already made.
  • Facing replaces mirroring — a device carries front, back, left and right artwork; turning it swaps the drawing instead of flipping it.
  • Multi-select edits together — select a batch, change it once in the right-hand panel; dragging a value shifts them all by the same amount, typing sets them all to the same value.
  • Transform handles were rebuilt to convention — scale from the four corners, one entry point for rotation, anchored on the opposite corner rather than the centre.
  • Keyboard shortcut reference — on two tabs, searchable across both.
  • People can each have a real height.
  • Asset files got much smaller (3D to isometric now goes through tracing), so the component window loads faster.
  • Fixed: asset thumbnails flashed while loading, or stayed stuck on the placeholder.

A three-column layout

  • The editor has three columns — the full-width toolbar is gone: project and scene contents on the left, canvas in the middle, settings on the right; both sides collapse.
  • Right-hand tabs — Properties / Space / Canvas / Sheet, replacing the floating panels.
  • Compose mode — a mode just for framing the output: drag and scroll to adjust the composition without touching the scene.
  • Outline — split into Pinned to front and Automatic by position; search, collapse and drag to reorder.
  • Number fields can be scrubbed — drag a field's label left or right to change the value.
  • The bill of materials can be named — the title printed on the drawing is yours to change.
  • Type sizes, corner radii and hit areas across the product condensed into one set; interface icons are all vector icons now.
  • When signed out, the project menu keeps only Rename and the .ik backup.

Clicks that land, layers that sort

  • Picking follows the artwork itself — the transparent parts of an asset's frame no longer block what is behind it.
  • “Pin to front” — the old wall-mount / on-top option, renamed and available on any item: it keeps that item drawn above everything else.
  • Size lock — assets with real dimensions lock to real size and convert on their own when the scale changes.
  • The asset library was reorganised — categories reordered, new assets added.

Renamed to Misea

The product was named Misea and moved to misea.app. Before that it had no name of its own; it was an internal Luxmin tool.

  • The editor moved to misea.app/editor.
  • A new home page, written for more kinds of work and starting from the problems people run into.
  • Wire occlusion now works on every isometric site type.

Sites are no longer a single rectangle

  • Custom site shapes (Pro) — L-shaped, with columns, irregular: all of them drawable, with openings in the walls section by section.
  • Depth sorting — objects and walls work out what covers what from where they stand, across the whole scene.
  • Walls step aside — a wall in front fades out so you can see what is behind it.
  • Wires sort too — a wire is judged segment by segment, so only the part that should be hidden is.
  • Outline panel — order follows position; items can be grouped into folders.
  • The site's base plan takes a fill colour and opacity.
  • The canvas menu button shows the current size.

Project management, filled in

  • Bin — deleted projects go to a bin first, can be restored, and do not count against your quota.
  • New projects start somewhere — pick a site type first, and the title block switches to matching defaults.
  • New projects are named automatically — with a running number, not a row of “Untitled project”.
  • Opening one project in two tabs is blocked, so they cannot overwrite each other.
  • Read-only viewing — zoom and pan; the notice card at the top collapses into a thin banner.
  • After the sign-in email is sent — a reminder to check spam, resend after 60 seconds, or change the address.
  • The Saved indicator sits next to the project name, and leaving before sync finishes asks first.
  • The share page says “published 3 hours ago”, so you know which version you are looking at.

Cloud first, and plans

  • The storage model became cloud-first — the cloud is the only project library, and edits push themselves up. The browser keeps one offline buffer: close the tab or lose the network and the work is still there next time.
  • The project menu and sharing are separate — Project at the top left handles new, open, rename and backup; Share at the top right is a switch, and what is shared can be updated at any time.
  • Sign in with your canvas — a drawing made while signed out becomes a cloud project when you sign in.
  • Free and Pro plans.
  • Project quotas: 3 on Free, 100 on Pro.
  • Fixed: share links failed to upload; after updating a share, viewers see the new content straight away.

The product home page goes live

  • The product home page — features, how it works, plans and FAQ.
  • Terms of service, privacy policy and refund policy, in Chinese and English.
  • How you turn the view while working no longer changes the composition of the drawing you hand over.
  • Leave your email on the home page to hear about product updates.

From one file to a website

After this release Misea had a URL, an account, and for the first time a way to hand a drawing to someone else.

  • Email sign-in — no password to set; click the link in the email.
  • Cloud projects — save, open, rename, delete, with thumbnails in the list.
  • Share links — a read-only URL that opens without an account.
  • The account lives in one menu, with sign-out tucked inside where it cannot be hit by accident.

Snapshots, purchased parts and feedback

  • Snapshot gallery — save where you are, then pick a version back by its thumbnail.
  • Purchased parts — an object with real dimensions is drawn 1:1 and goes straight into the Purchase section of the bill of materials.
  • Feedback button — comments and problems go straight to our inbox; for on-site hardware help, “Find Luxmin”.
  • The drawing legend became a grid: mini symbol, code and name side by side.
  • Renaming a project no longer means opening the manage dialog.
  • Exported file names and page titles use the project name.
  • Fixed: after switching projects or restoring a snapshot, the canvas size did not follow, shifting the base plan and every item.

Tablets and phones

  • Tablets and phones — a mobile layout, touch gestures and touch multi-select.
  • Quick-draw mode on phones — lay out a drawing fast, standing on site.
  • Add to home screen and open it like an app.
  • The canvas buttons show the current mode, orientation and size.
  • Small text has more contrast, and the whole type scale went up a step.

The first editor

Misea's first version, back when it was a single HTML file used inside Luxmin.

  • An isometric canvas: drag assets onto the site, place them, turn them.
  • An asset panel: people, devices, basic shapes; people and devices are silhouettes with adjustable outline and colour.
  • Wire routing and dimension annotations.
  • Grid and snapping.
  • Drawing output, with a legend.
  • Keyboard shortcuts.
